In what has come as a hugely disappointing news for team India amid their significantly prosperous World Cup campaign, all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the World Cup as he has failed to make his complete recovery from his ankle injury. Pandya had picked up ankle injury during India’s match against Bangladesh which he still continues to battle, following which he has been ruled out of the tournament. Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna will be replacing Hardik Pandya in India’s World Cup squad. ICC’s Event Technical Committee has given the nod for pacer Prasidh Krishna’s inclusion into the India’s World Cup squad. Pandya’s absence is a huge blow for India after they started their World Cup campaign on a raging note. To date, India have remained unbeaten in the World Cup with seven victories on the trot.
