
South Africa thrashed New Zealand on Wednesday at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune to register a thrilling 190-run win. Defending the huge total of 357, South African bowler emerged with a back-breaking spell to bowl out New Zealand for (167). Keshav Maharaj and Marco Jansen returned with (4) and (3) wickets respectively while Gerald Coetzee and Kagiso Rabada claimed two and one wicket respectively. After being put into bat, South Africa recorded (357) with the help of Quinton de Kock (114) and Rassie van der Dussen (133) who both stepped up to hammer their centuries. Down the order, David Miller followed with his quick (53 off 30) to add more runs to proteas’ total. In their chase, New Zealand had low-key start with Devon Conway (2), Rachin Ravindra (9) which disturbed New Zealand’s chase. Rather, they couldn’t get the support of their top performers with only Glenn Phillips being the top-scorer with his (60).
