Banking on the formidable performances from their players, India are all set to commence their ODI World Cup journey with the full-fledged squad. India are propped by the top-quality players in their squad who all have been in their supreme forms in their last outings. Team India is looking forward to making their roaring start in the World Cup. Ahead of the World Cup, team is set to play two warm-up matches which will help them develop more intensity in their performance. After all , India are full of confidence with all of their players giving their best ahead of the World Cup.

Recently, India played the three-match ODI series against Australia that India won by 2-1. In that series, it was widely obvious that India were in complete dominance of the proceedings, however they lost the third match. In the third match, India had the positives to take out because seniors Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli played marvellous innings soon after their return to action as they both had missed the first two matches in the series after being given rest ahead of the World Cup. In a major development for India, they have suffered a big blow with Axar Patel not fit for the World Cup. India have included R Ashwin in their final squad for the World Cup as replacement for the injured Axar. Ashwin is a veteran spinner and possesses a great volume of experience as he did good in the past two ODIs against Australia. Looking at India’s performance and squad, it only boasts quality.

The return of KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer has solidified India with the constructive batting order as they both missed few crucial outings due to their respective injuries. India have Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill as their openers and both of them have given flying starts to India time and again. India’s all-round department will consist of Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya who both have been beautifully promising. Now, looking at India’s bowling order, they have been consolidated with the return of Jasprit Bumrah who has been team’s leading bowler but was away for a long time due to continuous injury issue. Bumrah made his return to action recently in the series against Ireland where he led the team, subsequently’ he played the ODI series against Australia. To support Bumrah, India have Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami. Siraj had created havoc in the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka where he returned with six wickets to bundle out Sri Lanka and India successfully won the Asia Cup by beating Sri Lanka by 10 wickets. Shami too has been in rhythm and he exhibited that in the first ODI against Australia where he returned with five wickets. Overall, India carry enormous chances of making it till the end as their powerful performances and quality show that.
