India thrashed Sri Lanka by ten wickets in the Asia Cup 2023 final on Sunday at R. Premadasa Stadium to lift the Asia Cup 2023 title which also ended their ICC title drought. Chasing the low total of (50) runs, set by Sri Lanka while batting first after winning the toss, Indian openers Shubman Gill (27*) and Ishan Kishan (23*) took the team over the line in (6.1) overs. This is for the 8th time that India have lifted the Asia Cup trophy.

Earlier, It was unimaginable for Sri Lanka as they were bundled out for 50-run score with all of their top batters failing to make their impact. Mohammed Siraj gave tough times to Sri Lanka’s batting attack with his six wickets as he was successful in claiming top batters of Sri Lanka. Hardik Pandya returned with three wickets while Jasprit Bumrah took one wicket to wrap up Sri Lanka’s innings for (50). Earlier, Sri Lanka had decided to bat after winning the toss. Kusal Mendis was the top-scorer for Sri Lanka with his (17) runs. This is the biggest ODI win for India in ODIs.
