The high-octane battle between India and Pakistan in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 was to be played on 15th October but the clash has been rescheduled as it will now be held on 14th October at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India are the host of this year’s mega ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023. The rescheduling of India’s match against Pakistan has come in the wake of Navaratri. The Navaratri festival, which is widely celebrated in Gujarat with full fervour, will commence from 15th October and the first Navaratri was clashing with India-Pakistan match date, due to which security officials had also expressed their concerns.
It is learnt that BCCI and ICC chalked out few plans to reschedule the matches keeping in mind all the concerns. There is a huge excitement building up to the India-Pakistan clash as people only get to witness this mega clash during the world tournaments only. Both teams are in their great preparations as both team are also scheduled to play Asia Cup ahead of the ODI World Cup. The clash between both teams in the Asia Cup will be quite crucial keeping in mind the World Cup as well. The likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be up against Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. The Asia Cup match between both teams on 2nd September will be incredibly interesting as both teams boast of a great set of players.
