To solidify their squad for the upcoming World tournament, which is ODI World Cup, New Zealand have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming four-match ODI series against England which will be commencing from September 8. The notable inclusion in the squad is that of fast bowler Trent Boult. Trent’s inclusion is also a great indication from New Zealand towards preparing a massive team for the ODI World Cup. Kyle Jamieson has also made his return to the team after recuperating from a long-standing and excruciating back injury. It will be long time for Boult since he last played ODI for New Zealand as he had pulled out of New Zealand’s central contract.
Boult had declined the central contract to participate in the leagues around the world. Mark Chapman and Jimmy Neesham will fail to participate in the series as they are awaiting the births of their first childern. All-rounder Michael Bracewell will too be missing the series due to going through Achilles injury. This series will matter the most to New Zealand ahead of the ODI World Cup in October-November. Tom Latham will be leading the team in this series.
