India had to win the third T20I to keep themselves alive in the ongoing five-match series against West Indies and India had found great support from Suryakumar Yadav who played his conventional innings with his 83-run knock to save India from series defeat. Alongside Suryakumar Yadav, there was also beautiful performance from Tilak Varma who remained unbeaten on (49) to keep the team on top in the match. Apart from this, India are also gearing up to play Asia Cup and ODI World Cup which will be superbly important for them to win to end the ICC title drought. SKY’s performance in the ODI format has been quite questionable as he has failed to maintain his consistency in that format. Speaking about his role in the ODI format, Suryakumar quite frankly admitted that his numbers have not been good in this format.

“To be perfectly honest, I know that my one-day numbers are quite bad and there’s no shame in admitting that. We all talk about honesty and you have to be, but how you can improve is more important. Rohit (Sharma) and Rahul (Dravid) sir have told me that this is the format that I do not play much so you have to play it more and think about it. If you are batting in the last 10-15 overs, think about what you can do for the team. It is in my hand now to change the responsibility into an opportunity,” stated Yadav after the third T20I.
