There were a lot of reports doing the rounds about the friction between MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja in the Indian Premier League in 2022. It all followed when MS Dhoni decided to transfer the captaincy to all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja but things didn’t go as per the expectations because team’s performance wasn’t coming through. Even, Ravindra Jadeja had lost the momentum of his performance. CSK had a very disastrous tournament in 2022 after they finished at the second from the bottom in the points table as they had won four matches out of the fourteen games.

But, it was really encouraging to see when CSK bounced back to lift the trophy in the 16th edition of the league in 2023. However, there was no shift in captaincy as the team was led by MS Dhoni throughout the league but Jadeja had played a pivotal role in the final by leading the team to victory with his 15 off 6 unbeaten. Meanwhile, CSK batter Ambati Rayudu has shared his views on the entire saga unfolded in 2022.

“I don’t think Jaddu (Jadeja) was upset with Mahi bhai at all. It was just that he was sad because the team wasn’t doing great. Everyone’s performances that year were not coming up to the mark,” said Ambati Rayudu on BehindWoods TV Youtube channel.

“He (Dhoni) has put this team and has made Jaddu (Jadeja) what he is today. He has nurtured him for what, 10-12 years. So, he would naturally be happy that the product he made has won the final for CSK after whatever happened last year,” stated Rayudu.
