England and Australia will be locking horns in the fifth and final ashes Test which will be getting underway from 27th July at The Oval. England have not been able to maintain their approach of playing ‘aggressive’ cricket as they are running 1-2 in the series. Australia have retained the ashes which will give them ample amount of confidence going into this match. England’s task would be to level the series 2-2 because this final Test will be the real challenge for them. England have retained the same squad for the fifth Test which also features veteran James Anderson.
Australia, on the other hand, have maintained their resilience throughout the series so far. Australia had won the first two games to pocket the dominance and lead the series, however, England bounced back to give themselves hope by winning the third game but fourth ashes Test had been washed out due to heavy rainfall which helped Australia retain the Ashes. Australian skipper Pat Cummins had also stated after the fourth Test that their job will be done one they finish the ashes on winning note as he indicated his focus onto the fifth Test. Australia would love to finish the series 3-1.
