Pakistan are all set to return to action as they are all ready to kick off their World Test Championship (WTC) cycle with the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Pakistan are touring Sri Lanka for the two-match away Test series where they would look to do well to consolidate their avenues for WTC. Both teams will be locking horns in the first Test match which will start from July (16th) at Galle. Babar Azam will be leading the team as Pakistan squad comprises of some brilliant players. This series provides perfect opportunity for both teams in their preparations for the WTC cycle. Pakistan would be desperate for victory after having had no victory in the past one year. Pakistan will have the service of veteran Sarfaraz Ahmed who has made his comeback to the team on the back of his superb performance. Sarfaraz Ahmed would hope to build on to his fine performance.
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, are not to be undermined in their own backyard after seeing their last outings where they have done superbly fine. Sri Lanka have played six of the last eight matches at Galle where four have gone their way. So, the conditions would be no strange to them. On top of it all, Sri Lanka will be having the service of Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Mendis, Prabath Jayasuriya and Dilshan Madushanka.
